About WCCC

The Washington County Consumer Council (WCCC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping mentally ill individuals adapt and live with their illnesses.

The Consumer Council promotes the right of every person to have the best life possible, despite handicaps. With proper medical treatment, many mentally ill individuals can manage their day to day living quite well.

The vision of the Consumer Council is to provide support centers for those suffering from mental illness. These individuals, who face an extremely difficult journey with day to day living, are called Consumers. Hence the name: Washington County Consumer Council.

Founded in the 1990's, the Council is located in Hillsboro, OR:

  • Comfort Zone and Office Carnation Building, 669 South 1st Avenue, Hillsboro, OR   (Map)

At this center, the Council provides its consumers with special services, including a safe haven to socialize, experience meaningful activities, and have a good meal, and employment opportunities to gain the necessary skills and self-respect to function in today's world.

Some contributors to past fundraising campaigns have been Washington County Department of Health & Human Services, Magellan Behavior Health Services, Providence Behavioral Health Center and the Washington County National Alliance of Mentally Ill.

Through the generous contributions of community donations, we can continue our work to improve the lives of all in Washington County.

The WCCC is a 501-C3 Non-Profit Organization.
