Weekly Activities
Comfort Zone sponsors the following ongoing weekly events that all Consumers and their families are welcome to attend. Meals/snacks, soft drinks and activities are provided at no charge. (See monthly calendar for more details!)
- Monday & Wednesday
- Comfort Zone Hours: 11am-4pm at the Carnation
Building, 669 South 1st Avenue, Hillsboro, OR (Map).
Meal: Lunch will be served at 12 noon.
Cyber Cafe: 1pm-4pm. There is always someone there to help you on the computers if needed. It's a good way to learn the computers, or get computer work done or just play around and talk to the other people there.
Office Staff: 1pm-4pm. - Friday

Monthly Activities
- WCCC Advisory Committee
- WCCC is looking for volunteers from the community to sit on their WCCC Advisory Committee, to lend support and ideas as needed to the organization. Program development, fund raising and activities are some of the things discussed by this fun and low stress committee. Meetings are held quarterly (January, April, July & October) at the Comfort Zone (Map) Potluck dinner begins at 6pm, and the meeting is started as soon as everyone is done eating.
- Washington County Mental Health Consumer Council Meeting
- The Consumer Council meets on the Friday before the Staff Meeting each month to discuss and plan the activities for the Comfort Zone. Consumer participation is encouraged and appreciated. Join us at the Comfort Zone (Map), from 4:45-5 PM.
- WCCC Board Meeting
- The Board of Directors meets on the Wednesday following the third Friday of each month to discuss important information pertaining to Consumer Council and to vote on any issues needing attention. This is a public meeting and anyone is welcome to attend. Join us at the Comfort Zone (Map), from 1pm-2pm.
- WCCC Staff Meeting
- On Saturdays up to the 24th of the month, this meeting is held on the third Saturday of the month. On Saturdays falling on the 25th of the month and later, this meeting is held on the last Saturday of the month. The meeting starts at 12 noon.

What: 25th Annual Tulip Fest 2010 – Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm
Where: Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm, 33814 South Meridian Rd., Woodburn, OR 97071
When: March 25 – April 25, 9am – 6pm
Details: $5/carload on week days and $10/carload on weekends. Our favorite time of year is when the tulips bloom! Every year the varieties are arranged differently in a new pattern of color as we rotate our tulip fields to a new location. Details: This number is a way to access information about help that you might
need. Services include: free dental care, free
rides to medical appointments, grocery shopping, how to obtain free
medications, understanding your insurance coverage, and emergency food.
The list is so long I can’t print all of them here. To be eligible you
just need to be low income. The number is for Washington County residents 211 or 503-222-5555. For every problem there is a solution, with
the right information and help.
