The Washington County, Oregon Comfort Zone is your place to have fun, meet people and make friends. Our program is operated by Washington County consumers for the benefit of all Washington County mental health consumers and their families.
Our goal is to provide a safe environment in which consumers and members of their families can take part in social activities on a weekly basis. Activities include bingo, arts and crafts, movies, dances, games, and socialization.

Concerns that have been brought to our attention in recent months:
No loitering (standing around) in the loading zone in front of St. John's downstairs.
No smoking on the property, please cross the street to smoke.
If you use the elevator, please make sure to shut the doors completely when you are done.
All bicycles must be brought inside the building, not parked or locked up outside.
We have great people helping out in the Cyber Cafe!
Come in and get help:
- Creating or updating your resume
- Learn word processing
- Get Job Assistance
- Learn how to use email
If there is a movie you want to see, please put it on the sign up sheet in the Cyber Cafe! Please choose movies that are appropriate for all consumers. G or PG movies are acceptable, and R movies must be screened by the office staff before being allowed on the rental list. Movies with excessive violence, nudity or swearing will not be shown.
Comfort Zone Newsletter! We're doing a newsletter for the consumers of Banyan Tree, Open Gate, Life Works, and Homestreet. In order to do this newsletter we'll be needing the following items:
- Any creative writing for poems that would be suitable for the newsletter
- Personal stories that enlighten the reader
- Delicious recipes that you'd like to share
